Good day to all, and greetings from Gifu, Japan. Rainy season is upon us, which means we will experience more rain than sun for the next month and a half. Some people know this as the monsoon season. The rains are needed to fill the rice fields, less taken from rivers and reservoirs, so rice planting can begin, a beautiful scene to watch each and every season. Some farmers plant the seedlings by hand and others do it with miniature rice planting tractors. I prefer watching the hand planting as it feels as if I am still living in feudal Japan when there were only samurais battling and rice farmers planting.
Japan is steeped in History and we are able to experience a variety of events related to history throughout the year. I will be posting more about Japan here, so stay tuned for more little tid-bits about my life here.
